Marc Bewley : The Back Story of 7EVENT2

The inception of 7EVENT was shaped after my journey through the insurance industry and, more profoundly, by personal loss. In 2015—eight years before the company’s founding—the passing of my mother to cancer inspired me to orchestrate a charity fundraiser for Cancer Research UK. The experience brought immense fulfilment as I coordinated a great football tournament, secured a DJ and band, and ultimately raised around £2,000 for a worthy cause.

Later that same year, grappling with the loss of my father to cancer, I channelled my grief into another successful charity event—this time for Macmillan Support. The evening unfolded as a dinner dance, complete with a silent auction, live music, and the vibrant energy of a DJ. It was during this challenging period that my passion for event organisation truly took root.

Today, as the founder of 7EVENT, I look back on these experiences with gratitude, recognising them as the foundation upon which my commitment to exceptional event planning was built.
